The Literary Club and IQAC of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences (Autonomous) successfully organized the 16th National Voter’s Day on Friday, 23rd January 2026, with the objective of creating awareness among students about the importance of voting as a fundamental democratic right and civic responsibility.

On the occasion of the 16th National Voters’ Day, a special awareness programme was organised at the Collector Office, Palghar on 23rd January 2026. The programme was conducted with the main motive of administering the oath of keeping the spirit of democracy alive, along with spreading awareness about voting rights and the importance of active participation in the democratic process, especially among new and young voters. A total of 31 students from St. John College of Humanities and Sciences attended the session as part of an educational visit. The programme began with a warm welcome of all dignitaries and guests, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising knowledge, democracy, and civic responsibility. This was followed by the State Song of Maharashtra, which instilled a sense of pride and unity among the participants.
