Awareness Session on Faculty Research and CRRC Benefits

SJCHS Conducts Awareness Session on Faculty Research and CRRC Benefits

The Research Cell of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences (SJCHS) organized an informative session on “Empowering Faculty Research and CRRC Benefits” on 18 June 2026. The session was conducted by Dr. Evans Coutinho, Dean Research, St. John Technical and Educational Campus, who highlighted various research support mechanisms available to faculty members through the Campus Research and Research Coordination Committee (CRRC).

During the session, Dr. Coutinho explained the research ecosystem being developed across the campus and discussed opportunities available to SJCHS faculty, including support for publications, conference participation, intellectual property rights (IPR) filing, seed money for research projects, and mentoring of undergraduate research initiatives.

Faculty members were also briefed about the Undergraduate Research Promotion Policy 2026–27, which encourages student participation in research activities under faculty mentorship and provides financial support for selected projects.

The session helped create awareness regarding research funding opportunities and reinforced the institution’s commitment to fostering a vibrant research culture among faculty and students.
