Code of Conduct

General Behaviour: Students must behave in a manner that upholds the dignity and reputation of the institution. No student shall engage in any form of harassment, bullying, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or any other grounds. Punctuality in attending classes, submitting assignments, and participating in institutional activities is mandatory.

Academic Integrity:  Students must refrain from any form of cheating, plagiarism, or academic misconduct. Any act of copying during exams, submitting plagiarized work, or using unfair means will lead to disciplinary action.

 Dress Code: Students are expected to dress appropriately while on campus, ensuring modesty and professionalism.

 Classroom Etiquette:  Students must refrain from using mobile phones or any other electronic devices during lectures unless permitted.  Eating, talking, or engaging in disruptive activities during class is strictly prohibited.

Property of the college: Students are required to take care of all the properties of the college, right from elevators to lights and fans. If found causing damage to any of the college properties, the students have to bear the penalty of paying the entire amount that may arise out of such damage and the students shall be suspended from college for a minimum period of one week, depending upon the seriousness of breakage.

Anti-Ragging Policy: In accordance with UGC’s regulations, any form of ragging is strictly prohibited and punishable by law.  Students found guilty of ragging will face disciplinary actions which may include suspension, expulsion, or legal consequences.  Students must report any incidents of ragging immediately to the Discipline Committee or any faculty member.

Responsibilities of Students: Students are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations set by the institution as a Christian minority and co-education, private Institution and As affiliated to Mumbai University, under the guidelines of UGC. Demonstrate academic integrity and ethical fairness in all coursework, exams, and assignments. 

Respect faculty, staff, and fellow students, ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment.

Avoid any activities that disrupt the normal functioning of the institution.

Maintain decorum of dress code -modesty of clothing, wearing of College student ID, pleasant and respectful communication in classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and during all institutional activities. Participate actively in maintaining a ragging-free campus as per UGC’s anti-ragging guidelines.

Ensure responsible use of social media, avoiding any offensive or defamatory content against the institution or individuals.

Cyber Conduct and Social Media:  Students must follow ethical guidelines while using social media and refrain from posting inappropriate or offensive content related to the institution or individuals. Any form of cyberbullying, online harassment, or misuse of digital platforms will result in disciplinary action.

Grievance Redressal: Students can file complaints or grievances related to academic, administrative, or personal matters by contacting the Principal, Discipline Committee Coordinatoras well as members, or using the grievance redressal mechanism provided by the institution. The institution through the committee  will ensure confidentiality and fairness in handling grievances.

Disciplinary Actions: The following disciplinary actions may be taken for violations of the code of conduct:

Warning: Issued for minor infractions or first-time offenses.

Suspension: Temporary removal from classes or activities based on the severity of the offense.

Expulsion: Permanent removal from the institution for serious misconduct or repeated violations.

Legal Action: In cases of criminal activities or violations of laws such as ragging, the institution will report to the appropriate authorities for legal proceedings.

Appeals: Students have the right to appeal any disciplinary action taken against them. The appeal must be submitted in writing to the Discipline Committee within [3] days of receiving the disciplinary notice. The appeal will be reviewed by a panel, and a final decision will be communicated to the student within [3] days.

Conclusion: Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their behaviour and maintain the standards of discipline expected in an academic environment. Adherence to this SOP will ensure a healthy and conducive atmosphere for personal and academic growth.
