Orientation towards Indian Knowledge System (IKS) for the Faculty

A session on the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) was held on 5th March 2025 for the faculty members of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences. The session, delivered by Dr. Ravi Shankar Mishra, Campus Coordinator of the IKS Cell, aimed to raise awareness among faculty members about the importance and integration of IKS into higher education, particularly in the context of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. A total of 30 faculty members attended the session, engaging actively in discussions and brainstorming activities.

Industrial Visit by B.Sc. Department to Kolad & Khopoli

Department of B.Sc. organised an Industrial visit with a motive to provide practical exposure of the industrial processes thus making them familiar with the equipment and techniques used. The Industrial visit started at 7:00 a.m. from the college campus. 46 students were accompanied by 4 faculty members and a tour guide during the visit.
Our group of 36 students of FYBSc and 2 faculties from St. John College of Humanities and Sciences had the opportunity to visit Tarapur Atomic Power Plant 3 & 4. The purpose of the visit was to gain insight into the operations, safety measures, and the overall functioning of a nuclear power plant.

Enthusia 2024

ENTHUSIA 2024 was held from 2nd December to 7th December with the theme “Stranger,” aimed to bring together students from diverse backgrounds and institutes to foster friendship and create a sense of community. The event was designed to energize students, provide a platform for creative expression, and encourage healthy competition. A total of 599 students from 30 Colleges across the Palghar and adjoining districts of Palghar and Mumbai city participated in 13 different activities that were organised in Enthusia.
