The One Day Online Workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR’s) and Patents” was conducted through online via Cisco Platform on 10 October 2023 and was organized by department of B.Com . The aim of the workshop was to establish a basic level of awareness amongst the workshop participants. Dr Bharat N Suryawanshi, Assistant Controller of Patents and Design RGNIIPM, Nagpur highlighted the significance of IPR like patents, copyrights, trademarks, etc in his talk . He explained the detailed case study of filing and granting the patent application and elaborated the forms to be used for filing the patent application.

स्फूर्ती (Unleash Your Potential), on 7 October 2023 at the SJCHS Event Hall from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Students from various schools and colleges actively participated in the event, showcasing their talents and competitive spirits in various competition like Quiz, Mono-act, Spelling Bee, Movie review, Auction game, etc.

The guest lecture organised by the Department of Botany on 30 September 2023 was on the topic ‘Biodiversity and importance of Herbarium’, Dr. Jayananda Tosh was the resource person. He gave a brief lecture on Biodiversity, its components, and how all organisms are totally dependent on each other. A miniscule imbalance in ecology can prove disastrous. Dr. Tosh In his lecture gave points on how to adjust our lifestyle so as to conserve the natural resources which inevitably will reduce the harmful effects of anthropological activities. Following Biodiversity, Dr. Tosh sir described the herbarium, the step by step process of making herbariums, from field visit planning to equipment needed to the procedure.It was a very interesting and informational experience for students and faculties.

World Tourism Day was celebrated on 27 september 2023, by organising a seminar on Agro Tourism by Mr. Kiran Lele

A session on CMA (ICWA) for Beginners for First Years of BBI & BFM and Class XII of St. John Junior College held on 15 September 2023 at the Event Hall of SJCHS. The objective of the session was to orient the students about the ICWA/CMA Course. This session could increase the number of students appearing for the CMA Foundation and guide them about the exam.
