An awareness session on “Breaking the Silence: Understanding and Preventing Sexual Harassment ”was conducted by Mr. Vishhal Saxxenaa, Advocate, Supreme Court of India, on Friday, 3rd October 2025 at SJCEM Main Auditorium hall. Mr. Saxxenaa is a highly accomplished legal expert, specializing in Criminal Law, Housing Society matters, Property Disputes, and Economic Offences. His academic credentials are as impressive as his professional journey – he is a Chartered Accountant, holds an LL.B. degree, and has also completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management with specialization in Finance.The program was organized for students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff with the objective of creating awareness about the legal, social, and ethical dimensions of sexual harassment and the mechanisms available for redressal.

Free Medical Camp for Women’s Health & Safety

Free Medical Camp organised by WDC was inaugurated with a warm welcome speech delivered by Siddhi Mestry (Lady Representative, Student Council). The session commenced with the Universal Prayer, seeking blessings for the successful conduct of the camp. The Principal, faculty members, and council members extended their respect and gratitude by felicitating the esteemed doctors, nurses, social workers, and other supporting members who made this event possible. The Principal, Mrs. Mukta Jacob, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of women’s health and empowerment in today’s world. She highlighted that good health among women strengthens families, communities, and society as a whole. Following her speech, the event was officially declared open.

Women Development Cell conducts Self Defence programme

The Women Development Cell (WDC) of S.J.C.H.S organized a self-defense program for the first-year girls on 21st August 2024 at the S.J.C.H.S. Event Hall. The program aimed to empower the young girls with essential skills to protect themselves in emergency situations.
The program began with a brief introduction by Mr. Raju Khan, the resource person, who emphasized the importance of self-defense and confidence building. He then proceeded to demonstrate various techniques and strategies to defend oneself against physical attacks, including hand-to-hand combat and self-defense techniques against common threats like molestation and abduction.
