Department of Women Development Cell organised a Reel Making Competition on “Beyond Labels”-Breaking gender roles on 26th February, 2026 for SYBMS students. 32 students participated.

Objectives:
1. To promote awareness about gender equality and encourage students to challenge traditional gender stereotypes in society.
2. To encourage creative expression among students through digital media such as short reels and visual storytelling.
3. To sensitize students towards social issues related to gender bias discrimination, and unequal opportunities.
4. To develop communication and digital skills by motivating students to use innovative ideas, visuals, and messages in reel making.
Methodology
1. Notice was circulated
2. Students were given guidelines for preparing reels
3. Google Drive was created for reel submission
4. Deadline was given for reel submission
Outcomes:
1. Increased Awareness: Students developed a better understanding of gender stereotypes and the importance of equality and inclusivity in society.
2. Enhanced Creativity: Participants improved their creative and storytelling abilities through the use of digital media and innovative concepts.
3. Skill Development: The competition helped students strengthen their communication, teamwork, and digital content creation skills.
4. Positive Social Perspective: Students were encouraged to think critically about social norms and promote progressive attitudes toward gender roles.
