Our students Celebrated 16th National Voter’s Day at Collectors Office

On the occasion of the 16th National Voters’ Day, a special awareness programme was organised at the Collector Office, Palghar on 23rd January 2026. The programme was conducted with the main motive of administering the oath of keeping the spirit of democracy alive, along with spreading awareness about voting rights and the importance of active participation in the democratic process, especially among new and young voters. A total of 31 students from St. John College of Humanities and Sciences attended the session as part of an educational visit. The programme began with a warm welcome of all dignitaries and guests, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising knowledge, democracy, and civic responsibility. This was followed by the State Song of Maharashtra, which instilled a sense of pride and unity among the participants.

Shirgaon Beach Cleanliness Drive Held

NSS Unit of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences organised a Beach Cleaning programme at Shirgaon Beach on 21/01/2026 from 7:00 a.m. onwards. The objective was to To promote environmental cleanliness and protection of coastal ecosystems, To create awareness about the harmful effects of marine waste and plastic pollution., To instill a sense of environmental responsibility among students. and To encourage community participation in sustainable environmental practices.
