The Final round of Inter-Collegiate Drama Competition of prestigious IPTA (Indian People’s Theatre Association) was held at held on 18 September 2025 at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi, Mumbai. Our students participated in the event and bagged prestigious prizes.

The Department of Commerce, St. John College of Humanities and Sciences (Autonomous), successfully organized the Inauguration of the Commerce Association for the academic year 2025–26 on 20th March 2026 at 9:30 a.m. The event was conducted with the objective of formally establishing the Commerce Association and introducing its structure, objectives, and activities to students of FYBCom, SYBCom, and TYBCom. The association aims to provide a platform for enhancing academic excellence, developing professional skills, and encouraging participation in various commerce-related academic and co-curricular activities such as seminars, workshops, guest lectures, and competitions.

Historically rooted in European customs, the ceremony involves the mixing of a variety of dried fruits, nuts, spices, and spirits — ingredients that are later used in baking traditional Christmas cakes.This hands-on event not only introduces students to a significant culinary tradition but also provides them with practical insights into large-scale preparation, ingredient handling, and seasonal event planning. It fosters collaboration among students across all years, allowing them to work as a team while embracing the festive spirit.By participating in this ceremony, students gain valuable experiential learning that enhances both their technical and cultural understanding of hospitality practices — making it an integral part of their academic and professional journey.
