The Mentoring Committee of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences organised a session on Fostering Effective Mentoring on 16th September 2025 for teaching faculty. Dr. Suhas Pednekar (Former Vice-Chancellor, University of Mumbai) was the resource person.

The session focused on the importance of mentoring, different mentoring models, and building strong mentor-mentee relationships. It also discussed challenges like time constraints and highlighted the role of mentoring in career growth, teaching effectiveness, and research.

The session concluded with practical strategies to improve mentoring practices and received positive feedback.
