Annual Day 2016

Annual Day 2016 St. John Technical Campus celebrated its Annual Day on 16th January 2016 with great gusto. Eminent personalities with diversified background graced us on this occasion. We had Hon’ble Shri Gopal Shetty, Member of Parliament – North Mumbai as the Chief Guest and Dr. Abhay Wagh, Director of MSBTE as the Guest of Honour. Mr. Albert W. D’Souza (Chairman of Aldel Education Trust), Mrs. Elvina D’Souza (Secretary), Mr. Thomas Lobo (Campus Director), Fr. John Rumao (Campus Minister), Dr. Satish Takalikar (Principal of St. John College of Engineering and Technology), Dr. Savita Tauro (Principal of St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research) and Dr. Anil Kumar Chaudhary (Principal of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences) were the dignitaries on the dais. The Chairman welcomed the guests and addressed the students. The faculty & the students were motivated by the encouraging talk of the guests. The university rankers and college toppers were felicitated by them in front of the huge crowd. The unique feature of this year’s Annual Day was the theme based presentation by all the Institutes. St. John Institute of Management and Research performed on theme “Patriotism” which moved the audience to tears. The St. John College of humanities and Sciences showcased the theme “tech-Hacked life” which depicted how technology today has overridden human values, relationships, emotions, etc. The theme “Navraas” portrayed by St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research displayed the different nine emotions that we come across in various situations. The St. John College of Engineering and Technology performed on the theme “Indian Wedding Fiesta” which truly showed the festive time we have during the Indian weddings. The performers kept the crowd enthralled throughout the evening by the amalgam of songs, dances and skits. The creativity, hard work, talent & team efforts from all the four institutes truly made this function a wonderful way to begin the New Year.

Graduation Ceremony 2015

Graduation Ceremony 2015 Graduation Day is the most awaited moment in students’ life. It is both an ending and a beginning. It is warm memories of the past & big dreams for the future. Graduation is the first step on the ladder of success. St. John Technical Campus held its 3rd Annual Graduation Ceremony on 7th February 2015. Mr. Walter Vieira, the President of Marketing Advisory Services Group was the Chief Guest & Bishop Agnelo Rufino Gracias, Auxiliary Bishop of Bombay was the President. A total of three hundred and fifty students attended this function inspite of being busy with their jobs and higher studies. The toppers led the groups to collect their respective graduation certificates. The St. Johannite family and the parents were proud to see their graduates in black gowns and the graduation caps. Some of the graduates shared their experience of being a member of St. Johannite family. All the Graduates were thrilled to interact with their faculty, mentors and peers. They were willing to be involved with St. John in future also in the form of Alumni. Finally the programme came to an end with the photo sessions which will serve the graduates as one of the everlasting memoirs. Annual Day 2015

Annual Day 2015 St. John Technical Campus started this year 2015 with a grand and memorable event – Annual Day on 17th January 2015. Eminent personalities with diversified background graced us on this occasion. We had Dr. Subhash K. Mahajan, the Director of DTE as the Chief Guest, Dr. B. S. Bhat, the Educationist & Mr. Randal Romell – the budding entrepreneur of Romell Constructions, as the Guests of Honour. The faculty & the students were motivated with their encouraging talks. The college toppers were excited to receive the awards from such great personalities in front of the huge crowd. The various performances from our budding performers were the highlights of the evening. The crowd swayed to the tunes of the songs sung by our young talented singers. The dancers kept the crowd enthralled throughout the evening. The actors in the skit had a thought provoking message for the audience. The fashion show with the theme of “Indianness” was the perfect finale of the wonderful programme. The creativity, hard work, talent & team efforts from all the four institutes viz. St. John Institute of Management and Research (SJIMR), St. John College of Engineering and Technology (SJCET), St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research (SJIPR) & St. John College of Humanities and Sciences (SJCHS), truly made this function a wonderful way to begin the new year.

Annual Day 2014

Annual Day 2014 The 6th Annual Day Celebration of all institutes of St. John Technical Campus was held on 11th January 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the campus grounds. The Principals of St. John College of Engineering And Technology, St. John Institute of Pharmacy And Research, St. John Institute of Hospitality and Catering and Dean of St. John Institute of Management and Research read their respective college reports for the previous academic year. The Chairman of Aldel Education Trust, Mr. Albert W. D’Souza, detailed about the progress of the St. John Campus since the last six years. Rev. Fr. John Rumao, the Campus Minister, congratulated Chairman Mr. Albert W. D’Souza for facilitating professional education for the youth of rural Vasai-Boisar belt. Rev. Fr. Felix D’Souza, Director of Joseph Cardijn Technical School was the Chief Guest for the day. He was welcomed by Mrs. Elvina D’Souza, Secretary of Aldel Education Trust. He addressed the students and spoke about qualities required to sustain and be successful in their respective professional fields. The Guest of Honour Mr. S.P. Gupte, Chief – Cold Rolling Complex (W), Tata Steel Limited Boisar, was welcomed by Mr. Aldridge D’Souza. Mr. Gupte spoke about the need for innovation and upgrading the existing technology. The Guests and the audience were entertained by the music, singing, dancing and drama presented by the talented students of the campus. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening and praised the hard work of Staff and students for coordinating the event in a wonderful way. The event ended with an hour long dance session played by the in-house DJ.

Annual Day 2013

Annual Day 2013 The 5th Annual Day Celebrations of all Institutes at the St. John Technical Campus was held on Thursday, 17th January 2013 at 2:00 p.m. on the Campus grounds. Mrs. Veera Rao, Director of ALERT India i.e. (Association for Leprosy Education, Rehabilitation and Treatment – India) was the Chief Guest. She congratulated the Management and Staff of the institutions on the opportunities made available to the students through the establishment of various institutions in St. John Technical Campus. She spoke on the employment opportunities in this belt and advised students to develop themselves not only in the field of education but also to take an active interest in the various social causes in our society. Rev. Fr. Francis D’Britto, Parish Priest of the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, Sandor-Saloli was the Guest of Honour. He spoke on the importance of education and all round development of the students. He advised the students to become better individuals in their lives, so that they can contribute towards building a safer and better future for our society and country. The students showcased their myriad talents in music, singing, dance and drama. The guest and the audience thoroughly enjoyed the evening and everyone was full of praise for the hard work put in by all the Staff and Students. The evening drew to a close with an hour long dance session where the latest dance hits were played by our in-house DJ. The Management is grateful to all those who were instrumental in making our 5th Annual Day celebration a grand success.
