Annual Day 2019 St. John Technical and Educational Campus celebrated its Eleventh Annual Fest on 12th January 2019 with great enthusiasm and zeal. Entire Campus participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event. The Annual Day 2019 programme was woven around the theme ‘An Odyssey of Life’ meaning the Journey of Life, which depicted the seven stages of life from childhood to old age. The theme was presented meticulously by the superb instincts and brilliant acts of the talented students of St. John Technical and Educational Campus with breathtaking performances and entertaining the audience with hilarious laughter and joy to their hearts content. Rev. Fr. Cleophas Fernandes, Parish Priest, St. Pius X Church, Mulund presided over the function and Mr. Sambhaji Adkune Deputy Collector, Palghar District was the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries who graced the occasion were the Trustees of Aldel Education Trust, Mr. Albert W. D’souza, Chairman, Mrs. Elvina D’souza, Secretary, Mrs. Elaine D’souza Buthello, Treasurer, Mr. Reuben Buthello, Member along with Dr. Savita Tauro, Deputy Campus Director, St. John Technical and Educational Campus and Principal, St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research, Dr. G. V. Mulgund, Principal, St. John College of Engineering and Management, Dr. B.S. Ajitkumar, Principal, St. John College of Humanities and Sciences, Mr. Vidyadhar Patil, HR Manager and Dean of Management Studies, Mr. Umesh Kantute, Principal, St John Polytechnic, and Mr. Vikram Sinh Joshi, Principal, St. John Junior College. Chairman, Mr. Albert W. D’souza extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries present. He acknowledged the efforts of the students and thanked the esteemed guest for their precious time from the busy schedule to attend the annual function. President of the function, Rev. Fr. Cleophas Fernandes, Parish Priest, St. Pius X Church, Mulund was overwhelmed with the students performances, scenic beauty of the campus and addressed the gathering by highlighting the importance of ethics and values in Professional Careers. He appreciated the Discipline on Campus. Deputy Collector, General Administration Department, Palghar District, Mr. Sambhaji Adkune graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He addressed the gathering by highlighting the tremendous potential of the Local Palghar Students and was all praise for the show. He congratulated St. John Technical and Educational Campus for taking such an edifying topic An ODYSSEY OF LIFE. He too was impressed with the students performances at the Cultural as well as Academic front. The Annual Prize Distribution function was a moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the institute. Chairman, Mr. Albert W. D’souza congratulated all the Institutions for the excellent Academic Performance in the Academic Year 2017-18 at the Institute as well as University level Examinations. Students of the Campus were felicitated for their extra-ordinary Academic performances at the University level and for bringing additional feathers to the Success of the St. John Technical and Educational Campus. At the same time the Annual Magazines of the respective Institutes Spectrum, Coalesce, Scintilla and Prism were released at the hands of the Chief Guest and President of the function. The event closed with a grand DJ celebration. It was indeed a spectacular display of talent and fervor.

Annual Day 2018 St. John Technical Campus celebrated its Annual Day on 13th January 2018 with great enthusiasm. Eminent personalities with diversified background graced us on this occasion. We had Rev. Fr. Praveen Vijaya Martis (Principal St. Aloysius College, Mangalore) as the Chief Guest. Mr. Albert W. D’Souza (Chairman of Aldel Education Trust), Mrs. Elvina D’Souza (Secretary), Mrs. Elaine D’Souza-Buthello (Treasurer), Mr. Aldridge D’Souza (Member), Dr. Gopal Mulgund (Principal of St. John College of Engineering and Management), Dr. Savita Tauro (Deputy Campus Director and Principal of St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research) and Dr. C.C. Patil (Principal of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences) and M,Vikramsingh Joshi (Incharge-St.John Junior College)were the dignitaries on the dais. The Chairman welcomed the guests and addressed the students. The faculty & the students were motivated by the encouraging talk of the Chief Guest. The Annual Day cultural presentation was based on “Incredible India”. It was a combination of songs, dances & skit related to the theme. St. John College of Humanities and Sciences set the ball rolling on the theme “Indian Sportsmen” as a tribute to all the sports person of our country. St. John Junior College showcased the folk-dance of Kashmir, Assam and West-Bengal. St. John Institute of Management and Research students showcased the Punjabi Folk Culture. The Maharshtra State Cultural traditions were showcased by the students from St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research . Finally the students of engineering degree section of the St. John College of Engineering and Management performed on the states of UP, MP, Rajasthan, Gujrat, Goa and the polytcehnic section students performed on South Indian States. The audience was truly engrossed throughout the function by the energetic and enchanting performances of the students. The programme was ably compeered by students Ms. Nisha (MMS) & Mr. Prashant (SJCEM). The vote of thanks was given by a student Mr. Prashant (SJCEM).

We had Rev. Fr. Reginald Tauro (Founder Director of Xavier’s Institute of Engineering) as the Chief Guest and Mrs. Saraswati Iyer (Managing Director of Gyan Foundation) as the Guest of Honour. Mr. Albert W. D’Souza (Chairman of Aldel Education Trust), Mrs. Elvina D’Souza (Secretary), Dr. S. Krishnamoorthy (Advisor), Mr. Thomas Lobo (Campus Director), Mrs. Elaine D’Souza Buthello (Treasurer), Mr. Aldridge D’Souza (Member), Dr. Satish Takalikar (Principal of St. John College of Engineering and Management), Dr. Savita Tauro (Principal of St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research) and Dr. Anil Kumar Chaudhary (Principal of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences) were the dignitaries on the dais. The Chairman welcomed the guests and addressed the students. The faculty & the students were motivated by the encouraging talk of the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and Advisor. The university ranker and college toppers were felicitated by them in front of the huge crowd. The Annual Day cultural presentation was based on various themes. It was a combination of songs, dances & skit related to the themes. St. John Junior College set the ball rolling on the theme “Road Accidents” that showed how today’s generation prefer speed and thrill at the cost of their lives. The theme “Apna Sapna Money Money” from St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research portrayed the impact of demonetization on the common man in our country. The St. John College of Humanities and Sciences showcased the theme “Udaan” which gave a message that one can overcome difficulties / unhappiness in life and look for a better tomorrow. The St. John College of Engineering and Management performed on the theme “Filmania” which showed that entertainment is an integral part of or life. St. John Institute of Management and Research had the theme “Mumbai Diaries” which showcased the life in a metro and finally the theme “Drug Addiction” selected by St. John Polytechnic depicted how young generation get easily habituated to bad habits like drugs without realizing its harmful effect on them & their family. The audience was truly engrossed throughout the function by the energetic and enchanting performances of the students. The programme was ably compered by students Mr. Mithil Amin (MMS) & Ms. Sabiya Shaikh (SJCEM). The vote of thanks was given by student Ms. Vevona Fernandes (SJIPR).

Annual Day 2016 St. John Technical Campus celebrated its Annual Day on 16th January 2016 with great gusto. Eminent personalities with diversified background graced us on this occasion. We had Hon’ble Shri Gopal Shetty, Member of Parliament – North Mumbai as the Chief Guest and Dr. Abhay Wagh, Director of MSBTE as the Guest of Honour. Mr. Albert W. D’Souza (Chairman of Aldel Education Trust), Mrs. Elvina D’Souza (Secretary), Mr. Thomas Lobo (Campus Director), Fr. John Rumao (Campus Minister), Dr. Satish Takalikar (Principal of St. John College of Engineering and Technology), Dr. Savita Tauro (Principal of St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research) and Dr. Anil Kumar Chaudhary (Principal of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences) were the dignitaries on the dais. The Chairman welcomed the guests and addressed the students. The faculty & the students were motivated by the encouraging talk of the guests. The university rankers and college toppers were felicitated by them in front of the huge crowd. The unique feature of this year’s Annual Day was the theme based presentation by all the Institutes. St. John Institute of Management and Research performed on theme “Patriotism” which moved the audience to tears. The St. John College of humanities and Sciences showcased the theme “tech-Hacked life” which depicted how technology today has overridden human values, relationships, emotions, etc. The theme “Navraas” portrayed by St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research displayed the different nine emotions that we come across in various situations. The St. John College of Engineering and Technology performed on the theme “Indian Wedding Fiesta” which truly showed the festive time we have during the Indian weddings. The performers kept the crowd enthralled throughout the evening by the amalgam of songs, dances and skits. The creativity, hard work, talent & team efforts from all the four institutes truly made this function a wonderful way to begin the New Year.  

Annual Day 2015 St. John Technical Campus started this year 2015 with a grand and memorable event – Annual Day on 17th January 2015. Eminent personalities with diversified background graced us on this occasion. We had Dr. Subhash K. Mahajan, the Director of DTE as the Chief Guest, Dr. B. S. Bhat, the Educationist & Mr. Randal Romell – the budding entrepreneur of Romell Constructions, as the Guests of Honour. The faculty & the students were motivated with their encouraging talks. The college toppers were excited to receive the awards from such great personalities in front of the huge crowd. The various performances from our budding performers were the highlights of the evening. The crowd swayed to the tunes of the songs sung by our young talented singers. The dancers kept the crowd enthralled throughout the evening. The actors in the skit had a thought provoking message for the audience. The fashion show with the theme of “Indianness” was the perfect finale of the wonderful programme. The creativity, hard work, talent & team efforts from all the four institutes viz. St. John Institute of Management and Research (SJIMR), St. John College of Engineering and Technology (SJCET), St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research (SJIPR) & St. John College of Humanities and Sciences (SJCHS), truly made this function a wonderful way to begin the new year.
