1. Introduction
The Department of BBI and BFM organized an Alumni Interaction and Career Guidance Seminar titled “Vision to Victory: A Roadmap for Finance Career Growth” on 13th February, 2026. The session aimed to provide students with industry-oriented knowledge and career guidance in the field of finance through alumni engagement.
The seminar served as a platform to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional requirements by offering practical insights into career opportunities, professional certifications, and skill development in the finance sector.
2. Objectives of the Seminar
● To provide awareness about career opportunities in finance and financial markets.
● To guide students regarding professional certifications such as CFA.
● To motivate students through interaction with a successful alumnus.
● To enhance students’ understanding of industry expectations and skill requirements.
● To strengthen alumni–student engagement within the institution.
3. Details of the Session
The seminar was conducted in an interactive format where the resource person shared his academic journey, professional experiences, and career progression in the finance domain. The session mainly covered:
● Overview of finance and financial market careers
● Introduction to the CFA Program, its structure, levels, and eligibility
● Subjects covered under CFA such as Equity Investments, Portfolio Management, Fixed Income, Financial Statement Analysis, and Ethics
● Importance of practical skills like financial modeling, equity research, and advanced Excel
● Information about other professional certifications such as FRM, CAIA, CFP, and NISM
● Career opportunities and industry expectations for finance graduates
The session concluded with an interactive Question and Answer segment where students actively participated and clarified their queries regarding career planning and professional development.
4. Student Participation and Response
Students from FY and TY BBI and BFM actively attended the seminar.
