दि. २७ फेब्रुवारी २०२५ रोजी सेंट जॉन कॉलेज ऑफ ह्युमॅनिटीज अँड सायन्सेस (स्वायत्त), पालघर येथे मराठी भाषा गौरव दिन मोठ्या उत्साहाने साजरा करण्यात आला.मराठी भाषा गौरव दिनानिमित्त महाविद्यालयात उत्साहपूर्ण वातावरणात विविध कार्यक्रमांचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात प्राचार्य मॅडम यांच्या हस्ते दीपप्रज्वलन करून व कुसुमाग्रज यांच्या प्रतिमेला पुष्पांजली अर्पण करून करण्यात आली. यानंतर प्राचार्य मॅडम यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना मराठी भाषेचे महत्त्व, तिची समृद्ध परंपरा आणि तिच्या जतनाची आवश्यकता याबाबत मार्गदर्शन केले. त्यानंतर ग्रंथपाल मॅडम यांनी आपले मनोगत व्यक्त केले. पुढे प्राध्यापक डॉ. विजय सोनगीरे यांनीही मराठी भाषेच्या गौरवाबद्दल आपले विचार मांडले. कार्यक्रमात विद्यार्थ्यांनी उत्स्फूर्त सहभाग घेतला. विद्यार्थ्यांकडून कविता वाचन करण्यात आले. तसेच “मराठी म्हणी ओळखा” हा मनोरंजक खेळ घेण्यात आला, ज्यात शिक्षकांनी आणि विद्यार्थ्यांनी आनंदाने सहभाग घेतला. कार्यक्रमाच्या निमित्ताने हळदी-कुंकू समारंभाचेही आयोजन करण्यात आले. या कार्यक्रमाचे आभार प्रदर्शन सौ. प्रियांका सावे मॅडम यांनी केले.

तसेच दिनांक २६ फेब्रुवारी व २७ फेब्रुवारी रोजी ग्रंथालयात पुस्तक प्रदर्शनाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. या प्रदर्शनाचे उद्घाटन प्राचार्य मॅडम यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले. या प्रदर्शनाला शिक्षक, शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी तसेच विद्यार्थ्यांचा मोठ्या प्रमाणात सहभाग लाभला. या प्रदर्शनादरम्यान एकूण ६८ पुस्तकांची विक्री करण्यात आली.

अशा प्रकारे मराठी भाषा गौरव दिनाचा कार्यक्रम आणि पुस्तक प्रदर्शन उपक्रम उत्साहात व यशस्वीरीत्या पार पडला.

On 27 February 2025, Marathi Language Pride Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at St. John College of Humanities and Sciences (Autonomous), Palghar. On this occasion, various programs were organized in the college in a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere.

The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Principal, followed by the offering of floral tributes to the portrait of Kusumagraj. The Principal then addressed the students, highlighting the importance of the Marathi language, its rich tradition, and the need to preserve and promote it.

After this, the Librarian shared her thoughts, and Professor Dr. Vijay Songire also expressed his views on the pride and significance of the Marathi language.

Students participated enthusiastically in the program. Poetry recitations were presented by students, and an interesting activity titled “Guess the Marathi Proverbs” was conducted, in which both teachers and students participated with great enthusiasm.

On this occasion, a Haldi-Kumkum ceremony was also organized. The vote of thanks for the program was delivered by Mrs. Priyanka Save.

Additionally, a book exhibition was organized in the college library on 26 and 27 February. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Principal. Teachers, non-teaching staff, and students participated in large numbers. During the exhibition, a total of 68 books were sold.
