A seminar on IoT(Internet of Thing) was organized by the department of B.Sc.(I.T) on 6th July, 2019 in St. John College of Humanities and Sciences. The total 45 students have participated from S.Y. B.Sc. (I.T.).
The seminar commenced with welcome speech by Ms. Smita Chaudhari (HOD, B.Sc. I.T) explained the objectives and importance of the workshop. The motive behind conducting this seminar was to introduce the basic idea about how Internet can help in our day to day life and enhance project skills and familiarize with Internet of Things. The session started with keynote lecture on IoT and future of connected world by Mrs. Rojal Rodrigues, (M.E EXTC) . The session was conducted for two hours. It provided the insights of IoT applications for smart home, smart cities, smart lights, smart retails, energy issues, health and life style and car connect. The real life use cases were discussed on IoT application and made the session really interactive by providing an opportunity to suggest a solution to real life scenario. Participants were indeed curious to provide various solutions .
