Farewell Party held for outgoing Third Year Students
On June 29, 2024, the Farewell Committee of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences organized a memorable Farewell Party for the Third-year students from the Department of Hospitality Studies, Department of Commerce and Management, Department of Arts, and Department of Information Technology and Computer Science.
The event, themed Masquerade and Prom, took place in the event hall on the 3rd floor of SJCEM. The celebration began at 12:30 pm with a Universal Prayer for Peace. Mr. Alridge D’Souza, a member of the Aldel Education Trust, welcomed the students with an inspiring address and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors. Following this, Dr. Muktha Manoj Jacob, the Principal of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences, delivered a heartfelt farewell speech.
The program officially kicked off at 1:00 pm, featuring dance and singing performances by the First and Second-year students, which added to the festive atmosphere. Various spot games were organized for the Third-year students to engage and entertain them.
In a special segment, Mr. Albert W. D’Souza, Chairman of Aldel Education Trust, honored the Student Council members by presenting them with certificates in recognition of their exceptional contributions to organizing college events. A touching memory video was played towards the end of the program, capturing cherished moments from the students’ time at the college.
The event concluded at 3:30 pm with a Vote of Thanks delivered by a Student Council member, followed by the distribution of souvenirs and refreshments to the students. The Farewell Party was a fitting tribute to the Third-year students, celebrating their journey and wishing them success in their future endeavors.
