NSS and Green Club-Greenovation Organise Successful Tree Plantation Drive

On 4th July 2024, the NSS and Green Club-Greenovation of our college organized a tree plantation drive that saw enthusiastic participation from 15 students across various streams from the first to the third year. The college arranged transportation, and the students, along with two faculty members, travelled to Dasturi Pada, Palghar, for the event.
During the drive, 12 plants were planted, including:

• Terminalia catappa (2)
• Mimusops elengi (2)
• Azadirachta indica (3)
• Tecoma stans (3)
• Syzigium cumini (2)

The primary objective of this activity was to raise awareness among students about the vital role of plants in our environment and to encourage them to take responsibility for their carbon footprint.
The event was a great success, highlighting the collective effort and commitment of our students and faculty towards environmental conservation. We hope to continue such initiatives in the future to foster a sense of ecological responsibility within our college community.
