A Session on Skill Based Course in Tally with Taxation held on 16th August, 2024

An Add-On Course on “Skill Based Course in Tally with Taxation” was conducted on 16th August, 2024, for a group of 17 commerce students at the college. The course aimed to provide hands-on experience in computer-based accounting, inventory management, and GST (Goods and Services Tax) using the Tally software.

Mr. Abhijeet Joshi, an expert in the field, conducted the session. As a resource person, he provided in-depth practical knowledge and demonstrations, helping students understand how to effectively use Tally for various accounting processes. The session focused on the importance of Tally as a tool for modern business practices and its application in managing financial records, generating reports, and complying with taxation laws.

The course covered key areas such as:

  • Computerized Accounting: How to maintain and manage financial records using Tally.
  • Inventory Management: Recording and managing stock details efficiently.
  • GST Filing and Calculation: Understanding the GST structure and how to use Tally for accurate tax calculations and filings.

Students were actively engaged in practical exercises, applying the theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. The session not only enhanced their technical skills but also increased their confidence in using Tally software for business and taxation tasks.
