The Department of B.Com. The programme was attended by 79 students from FYB.Com., FYBBI, FYBFM, and FYBMS.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Keerthana Rajeev, followed by the inaugural address by Dr. Muktha Manoj Jacob, Principal, who emphasised the importance of financial education, responsible saving, and informed investing. Ms. Jinal Shah, Head of the Department of Commerce and Management, also graced the occasion.

The first session, conducted by CA Chirag Jain (CA, CFA, CS) under the BSE Investor Awareness Programme, covered financial planning, the power of compounding, wealth creation, risk management, diversification, mutual funds, term insurance, and long-term stock market investments. Examples of Mukesh Ambani and Elon Musk inspired students to develop a strategic and long-term financial outlook.

The second session focused on the Commodity Market (NCDEX–IPFT), introducing students to the roles of NCDEX and MCX, commodity trading, futures contracts, hedging, price discovery, and regulated financial markets. Interactive discussions and practical examples helped students understand various investment avenues and risk management strategies.

The programme provided valuable insights into financial planning, portfolio diversification, India’s economic growth, and responsible investment practices. It successfully encouraged students to develop sound financial habits and become informed investors.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Pritipriyadarshani Behera, who expressed gratitude to the resource persons, Dr. Muktha Manoj Jacob, Principal, Ms. Jinal Shah, Head of the Department of Commerce and Management, faculty members, the organising committee, and students for their valuable contributions and enthusiastic participation in making the programme a success.
