The B.Com department successfully organized an Orientation on the Chartered Accountancy (CA) Course on 5th July 2025 for First Year and Third Year B.Com students. The event aimed to provide valuable insights into the CA profession, career prospects, and real-world experiences from distinguished professionals in the field.

Guest Speakers: The session featured three eminent Chartered Accountants who shared their journeys, professional experiences, and offered guidance to aspiring CA students:

Mr. Alok Kedia: CEO of Fastpro Finance Pvt. Ltd. and a Chartered Accountant with over 32 years of experience in leading banks like IndusInd, Yes Bank, and Standard Chartered. He has also served as MD & CEO of Brickwork Ratings and was a jury member for ET Best MSMEs of 2022.

Mr. Shubham Kedia: Senior Relationship Manager at ICICI Bank, handling a corporate portfolio of over ₹15 billion. He has worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and completed his articleship at Deloitte. He also actively participated in student leadership and social initiatives.

Ms. Shivani Pandya: Relationship Manager at ICICI Bank, managing corporate and NBFC clients. A first-attempt CA pass-out, she has previously worked with KPMG in M&A Tax and started her career with Chaturvedi & Shah LLP.

Conclusion: The orientation program was highly informative and motivating, offering students a comprehensive understanding of the Chartered Accountancy profession from seasoned and young professionals alike. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A round, where students interacted with the speakers, seeking advice on exam preparation, and career planning.
