Hindi Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm and participation 15th September 2025 by Literary Club  in collaboration with IQAC of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences (Autonomous) in the Event Hall..

On 15th September 2025, St. John College of Humanities and Sciences (Autonomous) proudly celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm and participation. The event commenced at 10:30 AM in the Event Hall, with the opening announcement and warm welcome extended to all guests by the anchor, Krishi. The program started with the College Peace Prayer, where all participants stood in unity and reverence.

Following the invocation, the anchor introduced the Chief Guest, Mrs. Savita Gupta, highlighting her achievements and contributions. The Chief Guest was felicitated with the presentation of a sapling by the Principal and the Literary Club team, symbolizing growth and respect for the language and culture. The significance of Hindi Diwas was then briefly addressed by the anchor emphasizing the importance of Hindi as a national language and its role in unifying the diverse linguistic landscape of India.

Mrs. Savita Gupta delivered an insightful and inspiring address, focusing on the need to develop awareness regarding the use of Hindi in daily conversations. She highlighted Hindi’s rich cultural heritage and its crucial role in maintaining India’s unity in diversity. Mrs. Gupta urged everyone to embrace Hindi not only as a means of communication but also as a symbol of national pride and cultural identity.

The program continued with a series of competitions that showcased the talent and proficiency of students in Hindi. The Poetry Recitation Competition was conducted first, where participants eloquently presented their original poems. This was followed by a Speech Competition, which saw enthusiastic and thoughtful speeches delivered by several participants.

An engaging Quiz Competition tested the participants’ knowledge of Hindi language, literature, and culture, making the event interactive and educational. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Vijay Sonagire, acknowledging the contributions of all organizers, participants, and the esteemed Chief Guest. The National Anthem was sung by all attendees with pride and respect, followed by a photo session to commemorate the occasion. The event was officially concluded by anchor Krishi at 12:15 PM.

The essay competition was held on 17th September, 2025. The students were given topics to write essay. They participated in the competition with enthusiasm and competitive spirit.The winners of the Poetry, Speech,  Quiz Competition and Essay Competition were finalized. All winners as well as participants were given certificates. Overall, 30 students participated in this event.

Overall, the Hindi Diwas celebration at St. John College of Humanities and Sciences was a resounding success, promoting the importance of Hindi language and culture among students and faculty alike. The event fostered a sense of patriotism and cultural pride, inspiring all to contribute towards the preservation and promotion of Hindi in everyday life.
