Activity Information:
Objectives:
• To collect electronic waste from students, faculty, and departments.
• To create awareness about proper e-waste disposal.
• To promote Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle practices.
• To encourage creativity using discarded electronic components.
• To ensure safe recycling through authorized recyclers.
• To promote environmental sustainability within the campus.

Methodology:
The E-Waste Collection Drive & Awareness Week was conducted in a well-planned and organized manner from 16th February to 22nd February 2026.
• The program began with an Awareness Session on E-Waste Management conducted by resource persons Mr. Kalpesh Patil (MSEB Government Electricity Department) and Mr. Sanjay Mahajan (Retired Principal, SDSM Jr. College) on 18th February 2026 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. The session educated students about e-waste types, hazards, recycling methods, and sustainable practices.
• Collection boxes were placed at designated locations across the campus, and students and staff actively deposited electronic waste such as keyboards, mouse, cables, chargers, RAM, hard disks, SMPS, batteries, and motherboards.
• The E-Waste Awareness Quiz Competition was conducted on 17th February 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM under the guidance of faculty coordinators Ms. Shaina Siddiqui, Ms. Apurva Mahajan, and Ms. Payal Save, with 34 students registered. The quiz enhanced students’ knowledge of e-waste management and recycling practices.
• The Poster Making Competition – “Save Earth from E-Waste” was conducted under the coordination of Ms. Nisha Yadav and Mrs. Sangeeta Dubey, and judged by Ms. Vaishnavi Sankhe. A total of 145 students registered, and participants created creative posters conveying environmental awareness messages.
• The Model Making Competition – “Best from E-Waste” was conducted under the coordination of Mr. Yuvraj Prajapati, and judged by Ms. Pooja Mishra, with 3 students registered. Participants demonstrated creativity and innovation using discarded electronic components.
• The collected e-waste was handed over to an authorized recycler for safe and proper disposal.
• The program concluded with a Valedictory Function, coordinated by Ms. Jigna Bhansali, where winners were announced and certificates were distributed.
