Aldel Education Trust’s St. John College of Humanities & Sciences (Autonomous), Palghar adds one more feather to its cap by achieving 1st Place in the 58th Inter Collegiate Youth Festival, conducted by University of Mumbai.
The final round of university level Folk Dance competition of 58th Inter Collegiate Youth Festival, conducted by University of Mumbai held on 3rd and 4th October, 2025 at Anna Leela College of Commerce and Economics & Shobha Jayaram Shetty College for BMS, Kurla, Mumbai and our student bagged prestigious awards.
Youth Festival Achievements: The students of the St John College of Humanities and Sciences(Autonomous) participated with great enthusiasm in the Mumbai University Youth Festival 2025–2026. Competing against several reputed institutions from across the region, our students showcased remarkable talent, creativity, and teamwork — leaving various other colleges under Mumbai University behind and securing top positions in multiple events.
Marathi Skit – 3rd Rank: The drama team won the 3rd Rank in the Marathi Skit Competition, outperforming several other strong contenders. The skit performed by the students, focused on a socially relevant theme delivered through impactful acting and expressive dialogue. The team’s coordination, stage presence, and emotional delivery earned them well-deserved appreciation from the judges and audience alike.
Folk Dance – 1st Rank (Gold Medal): In the Folk Dance Competition, our dynamic girls team secured the 1st Rank and proudly brought home the Gold Medal, leaving numerous participating colleges behind with their energetic and synchronized performance. Their presentation of a traditional folk dance (Divli- traditional of Goa) reflected India’s rich cultural heritage through colorful costumes, rhythmic choreography, and captivating expressions. The team’s dedication and enthusiasm were key to this spectacular victory.
The exceptional achievements of our students at the Mumbai University Youth Festival is the matter of immense pride for our institute. By outperforming several other colleges, our students have once again proven their talent, determination, and artistic excellence.
