NSS Organise a Free Medical Camp for Women’s Health & Safety on 27/09/2025, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the premises of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences. Medical Team from Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences, Dahanu were the Resource Person, NSS Programme Officer & Faculty Coordinators were the Activity In-charge and 15 NSS Volunteers participated in the programme

Objectives:
· To support the Women’s Development Cell in promoting women’s health awareness. 
· To assist in the smooth execution of medical camp activities. 
· To engage NSS volunteers in meaningful community service.

Session Highlights:
· Registration and crowd management.
· Coordination with doctors and nurses.
· Awareness support for breast cancer and general health.
· Distribution of pamphlets and refreshments.

Insights on National Service:
· Reinforced empathy, teamwork, and service.
· Provided exposure to real-world health initiatives.

Structure and Participation:
· Organized by WDC in collaboration with Vedantaa Institute.
· Volunteers provided by NSS Unit.

Outcomes:
· 235 participants received timely medical attention.
· Volunteers gained experience in healthcare support and community engagement.

Volunteers’ Reflection: Through this activity, NSS members learned the importance of teamwork, empathy, and community service. The experience encouraged them to participate more actively in future health awareness initiatives and inspired them to contribute towards creating a healthier society.

Conclusion: The participation of 15 NSS volunteers in the Free Medical Camp for Women’s Health & Safety demonstrated the true spirit of the NSS motto—“Not Me But You.” Their collective efforts supported the Women’s Development Cell and medical team in successfully executing the event. The NSS Unit remains committed to continuing such meaningful collaborations that promote health awareness and community well-being.
