Industrial Visit by B.Sc. Department to Kolad & Khopoli

The Department of B.Sc. organised an Industrial visit with a motive to provide practical exposure of the industrial processes thus making them familiar with the equipment and techniques used. The Industrial visit started at 7:00 a.m. from the college campus. 46 students were accompanied by 4 faculty members and a tour guide during the visit.

On day one the participants visited the first industry – Royal Ink and Varnish. Royal Ink and Varnish is a leading manufacturer of industrial and commercial inks, coatings, and varnishes used in various applications, including printing and packaging. Students understood the manufacturing process, quality control and testing involved in the industry.

The second day included a visit to Fibrol Non-Ionics Pvt. Ltd., a company engaged in the production of specialty chemicals. The students observed various chemical processes, safety protocols, and environmental measures adopted by the industry. This visit was particularly beneficial for students to comprehend the role of chemistry in industrial applications and sustainability practices.

Apart from industrial exposure, the visit also included a stay at Nature Trails Kundalika Resort, which offered a variety of adventurous activities. Students participated in rope climbing, the Tarzan swing, and River kayaking, which provided a thrilling and refreshing experience. These activities helped in team-building and enhanced the overall experience of the trip.

The industrial visit was a highly informative and enjoyable experience for the students of SYBSc and TYBSc. It provided them with valuable practical knowledge about industrial processes while also allowing them to engage in recreational activities. Such visits play a crucial role in bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, making them an integral part of academic development.
