- Dr. Vijay Songire warmly welcomed the audience and set the tone for the event.
- Importance of Marathi Bhasha Diwas:
- Dr. Vijay Songire elaborated on the significance of Marathi Bhasha Diwas and its role in preserving and promoting the Marathi language.
- The Librarian, Mr. Rajendra Sawant too shared his insights on the origin and development of Marathi Language
- Address by the Principal:
- Principal Dr. Muktha M. Jacob delivered a speech on the development of the Tamil language and its impact on other languages, highlighting linguistic diversity and cultural exchange.
- Faculty/ Students’ Speeches:
- Various faculty members spoke about the importance of the mother tongue in an individual’s personal and professional development. Their speeches emphasized how language plays a crucial role in shaping identity and cognitive abilities.
- Few students from the college shared their views on Marathi Bhasha Diwas. The speech on Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhary, Shyam chi Aai and one Marathi poem graced the event.
- Anchoring:
- The event was beautifully anchored by Dr. Vijay Songire and Ms. Mukti Manai, ensuring a smooth flow of the program.
- Faculty, Staff and Non Teaching- Lunch ( Maharashtrian Thali) was arranged by the department of Hospitality Studies of St. John College of Humanities and Science for all.
