The Department of B.Sc. (Hospitality Studies) of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences, Palghar had organized a guest lecture on Rooms Division Management “Front Office Operations” in the current hospitality industry on 11th November 2020. Students of First Year, Second Year and Third Year of Hospitality Studies attended the webinar.
The webinar commenced with the introduction of Ms. Sonya Mane, Front Office Duty Manager, The Orchid Hotel, Mumbai by Mr. Ashley Pereira (T.Y. B.Sc. HS). The motive behind conducting this webinar was to introduce the basic departmental work of the front office department in the current pandemic scenario.
The webinar started with a keynote on PMS (Property Management System) . Ms. Mane introduced the system and showcased processes such as Check-in, Check-out, Room Blocking and etc. A thank you speech was given by Mr.
Ranjan Sharma (T.Y. B.Sc. HS) at the end of the session.
